FIT / In body hugging iridescent pleats, the dress features a high, straight neckline, with long sleeves, and fitted bodice. The silhouette is fitted throughout the chest and hips with a columnar skirt hits several inches above the ankle. A cape-like projection of vertical fabric can be worn to the front for a dramatic, high-neck silhouette or to the back. Four buttons secure the cape, but when detached or partially detached, allow the fabric to fall like a ruffle either partially when unbuttoned on the diagonal, or completely when fully unbuttoned. Worn to the back and fully unbuttoned the fallen ruffle resembles a bustle. The cape-like fabric continues through the length of the skirt and can be worn swept forward for more color contrast or pushed back to allow for more dramatic movement when walking. The play and variation that can be achieved with this dress is bountiful!
